Get creative with Book Arts Saturday, July 16, for fun, free & family friendly artmaking activities, steamroller printing, and an artist market. We’ll also be celebrating the opening reception of the 2022 Members’ Show!
STEAMROLLER PRINTING | FAMILY FRIENDLY ARTMAKING DEMONSTRATIONS | ARTIST MARKET
Event Highlights:
• Steamroller printmaking all day – Heavy Metal meets Big Wood! Watch as a construction steamroller becomes a printing press…turning hand-carved woodcut blocks into prints and T-shirts! Attendees will have the chance to purchase these one of a kind prints, meet the carving artists, and observe the printmaking process.
• Book Arts activities and workshops for all ages- including a Buffalo-themed letterpress printed poster in celebration of 716 Day, bookmaking using antique equipment, and screen printing tote bags free for the first 25 attendees.
• Pop Up Artist Market – highlighting WNY craftspeople, artisans, and writers. Peruse through 8 local vendors specializing in book arts, printing, and handmade crafts.
• Members’ Show Opening Reception – pursue works on view in our Main Gallery by over 30 member artists. Artwork ranges across all disciplines from hobbyist and emerging artist, to experienced exhibitionist.
