letterpressAdvanced Letterpress Tuesdays, November 27 & December 4 • 6-9pm
This workshop builds on the foundation of the Letterpress Basics Workshop. Students will focus on type setting, problem solving, and multi-color layout and registration. We'll also cover tips and tricks that can help speed up the process of creating a print-ready form. Workshop participants will build more complicated forms and become proficient in make-ready. The final product will be a two-color card, broadside, or poster. It is helpful to bring along a short quote or idea of something you'd like to create! Letterpress Basics workshop is a pre-requisite to this course, Ages 16+ Cost: $100/$80 Members & Students (+ $2.50 Service Fee) Participants must take Letterpress Basics to sign up for this advanced class Finished pieces will be two-layers and each student can create one of the following: - 3.5" x 2" (approx.) business/calling card - folded or flat 5"x7" greeting card - up to 12" x 18" poster or broadside Some helpful tips and tricks: - It is helpful to bring along a short quote, saying, or idea of something you'd like to create! - Prints will be two-layers, which typically means two colors, but a split fountain or rainbow roll (incorporating more colors at once) can also be done! - Questions?
