letterpressAdvanced Letterpress Workshop Wednesdays, August 15 & August 22 | 6-9pm
This workshop builds upon the fundamentals covered in the Basics Workshop. It focuses on more complicated formes, including two-layer/color pieces. Students can expect to broaden their knowledge of the craft and become more comfortable in our Studio. Members are eligible for WNYBAC's Open Studio after taking both the Basics and Advanced workshops. For all artistic levels, Ages 16+       Finished pieces will be two-layers and each student can create one of the following: - 3.5" x 2" (approx.) business/calling card - folded or flat 5"x7" greeting card - up to 12" x 18" poster or broadside Some helpful tips and tricks: - It is helpful to bring along a short quote, saying, or idea of something you'd like to create! - Prints will be two-layers, which typically means two colors, but a split fountain or rainbow roll (incorporating more colors at once) can also be done! - Questions? Cancellations with less than 48 hours will not receive a refund. • Sold out classes will accept a waiting list. • All workshops will take place at the WNY Book Arts Center and have no prerequisite knowledge required unless otherwise noted.
