Sunnyoutside: Ten Years of Good Books Done Well

Friday, March 27th-Saturday, May 2, 2015

Opening Reception: Friday, March 27th 6-9pm

The Western New York Book Arts Center presents Sunnyoutside: Ten Years of Good Books Done Well, an exhibition by David McNamara on view from March 27th-May 2nd, 2015. Sunnyoutside Press is an independent publishing company founded on May 5, 2005, and has operated out of Buffalo since 2007. The small press prides itself not only on the content of their publications, but the physical book itself. Much of their work includes hand-bound, screenprinted and letterpressed books & broadsides, some in collaboration with the Book Arts Center. This ten-year retrospective will highlight Sunnyoutside publications, commissioned artwork, and the small press’s varying production methods.

Two FREE events will be held to celebrate the exhibition:

Sunnyoutside Artist’s Talk / Friday, March 27th / 6-9pm
Join us for an evening of lectures on the bookmaking process by Sunnyoutside collaborators & artists, including Richard Kegler, Nathan Pritts, Kyle Butler, Brian Mihok and David McNamara.
