BABY BUNNY MIGHT LIVE
An Exhibition by Julia Dzwonkoski

on view September 16 – October 22, 2022/ Studio Gallery

This show will feature experiments and accidents in letterpress printing. Julia has been using a free-style, “mad libs” approach: combining words, shapes and visuals from the Book Arts drawers with hand painted text and imagery. The artist likes printing onto already printed materials (newspapers, crossword puzzles, wallpaper, patterned fabric, photos from magazines) and seeing what clicks with the ideas floating around in her “bunny-lizard brain.” If all goes well the show will be weird and funny and visually baroque.

The opening reception will be held Friday September 16th, 2022 from 5-8p.m.

The Book Arts Studio Residency invites emerging artists to experiment with various printmaking processes in our community studio for a two month period, culminating in an exhibition of their artworks.  Find out more about the residency program.
