BookFest 2019 Vendor Policies & Conditions

This year’s Buffalo BookFest will take place on Saturday, July 13th from 12-5pm at the Western New York Book Arts Center, 468 Washington St at E. Mohawk in Downtown Buffalo.

Buffalo BookFest is a day-long festival dedicated to printing and the book arts, with free hands-on demos all day, for all ages. Buffalo BookFest features book artists, craftspeople of all mediums, printers, & other handmade/self published/locally produced items. All items for sale MUST be either handmade or designed by the artist.

Vendors will be placed inside the Book Arts Center on the main gallery and boutique floor and outside in the adjacent streets and parking lot. Inside vendors will be provided a table. Outside vendors must bring a tent and table.

Prices for vendor spaces are as follows:

Full Table (approximately 6ft table) Book Arts Member Rate: $60.00 / Non-member Rate: $80.00

Half Table (approximately 3ft table) WNYBAC Member Rate: $30.00 / Non-member Rate: $40.00

Vendors are limited to one table. Your spot will be secured once your payment is received.

Cancellation Policy for vendors: A refund minus a $5.00 service fee will only be given up to one month in advance in the event of a cancellation. No refunds will be given after June 13th, 2019 for any reason.

Your table is your space, so please work with what you have and please respect the space of the people around you. There is limited space inside the Book Arts Center, so there won’t be extra room outside of your allotted table space.

Vendors can only bring and sell original, handmade work.

All participating artists are responsible for collecting and paying the appropriate New York State Sales tax on all items sold. By agreeing to be a vendor, you acknowledge that you have been made aware of this and cannot hold Book Arts responsible, should you be found in transgression of this procedure.

If for some reason you can’t attend the event, please let us know by emailing us at mel@wnybookarts.org. Table fees are nonrefundable 4 weeks before the event.

Book Arts shall not be responsible for or liable to vendors for any loss, damage, injury that may result to vendors or their property from any source or any cause whatsoever. The vendor hereby releases and waives any claims against Book Arts related to such loss, damage, liability, injury, and/or destruction.

Book Arts reserves the right to decline, reject, and prohibit any applicant for any reason whatsoever.

Book Arts does not discriminate on the basis of race, ethnicity, color, religion (creed), gender, gender identity, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, in any of its activities or operation.

Book Arts does not support hatred toward people or otherwise demean people based upon race, ethnicity, color, religion (creed), gender, gender identity, age, national origin (ancestry), disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status, or items/content that promote organizations or people with such views.
