Build on the basics of screen printing in our Advanced class! Open to participants who have taken our Screen Print Basics Workshop, this advanced class allows for further exploration into image and screen creation to create more complicated prints utilizing layering of stencils and colors. Participants can expect to become more proficient with printing tools, presses, and procedures in the Book Arts’ Studio. Once participants have taken both Basics and Advanced Screen Print Workshops, and are a paid Member in good standing with the organization, they are eligible to work independently in our Book Arts’ Open Studios.
This is a two-part class. Prints will be two-layers/colors, and participants should expect to create an edition of up to 1 dozen prints in one design, depending on design and printed substrate. It is helpful to bring to the first workshop aide or image. Please remember, completed screen print projects can be one (1) design as a:
– a print on paper (card, poster, etc.) up to approx. 8″x10″
– a printed fabric piece 100% cotton or cotton blend (tote-bag, tea towel, shirt/apparel)
Participants can expect to create up to 1 dozen prints of 1 design depending on design and printing substrate.
This is a two-part workshop, participants must attend both Tuesdays 3/24 and 3/31/2020 from 6-9pm.
