Blind Embossing Printing
October 9 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
Hands-on classes in the Book Arts Studio!
Led by Artist Mizin Shin alongside her exhibition “Spoken and Seen #UseYourVoice,” featuring Shin’s new screenprint series along with her current campaign, Use Your Voice #StopAsianHate—a response to rising rates of racially motivated prejudice and violence.
In this workshop, participants will learn about the blind embossing process, where an image is raised up out of the paper. Using an intaglio printing press, participants will work with the artist to create prints from the artist’s collection of plates, and take a small edition of blind embossed prints home.
