Printing Partners

Removing the barrier of cost and transportation, PRINTING PARTNERS affords all families the opportunity to participate in high-quality arts learning. In this hands-on program, learners of all ages & abilities engage with the book arts to build their creative confidence and artistic skills. Classes offer students a safe space to investigate basic to advanced forms of book & printmaking techniques alongside professional teaching artists, and work with specialty artist materials to create thoughtful & unique works of art.

Our community partners–past & present–represent the diverse neighborhoods of our region, including: The Buffalo & Erie County Libraries, Journey’s End Refugee Services Making A Connection (MAC) Program, Locust Street Art, Seneca Babcock Community Center, the Valley Community Center, the Carnegie Art Center, OPCOM (Operation Children of the Military) through the Mental Health Advocates of WNY, and the Westside Art Strategy Happens (WASH) Project.

• In the Summer of 2023, Book Arts completed a PRINTING PARTNERS program with the Valley Community Association Center, a community center dedicated to enhancing the quality of life of the residents of the Buffalo River Community.
• Book Arts is
currently running a long-term closed program with OPCOM (Operation Children of the Military), a program offered in partnership with the Mental Health Advocates and the Veterans One Stop Center of WNY. The mission of the Operation COM program is to strengthen military family relationships in Western New York using creative activities, peer support, and family centric activities.

• Registration for current programs are below. If no porgrams are currently offered, we’re behind the scenes planning for the next season’s iteration of PRINTING PARTNERS! We’re so grateful to our community host partners and students, and the funders who make this program possible.
