A group of WNY artists investigate the
possibilities with paper mulberry bark

On view April 26th – May 12th, 2018
Opening Reception Thursday, April 26th / 5-8pm

Pulp/fictions features WNY artists and WNYBAC members who have spent the past year and a half experimenting with the Thai mulberry fiber known as Kozo. Building on their group exhibition last fall, the group again met regularly to process the fiber from its raw state into the various works on exhibit. This time around, the artists took a more structural and sculptural approach with the kozo, a very durable material.

From fiber artists to printmakers, book binders to photographers, this exhibit showcases the versatility of the Kozo fiber, and the boundless imagination of the artists.

Artists include: Deb Eck, Linda Collignon, bobCollignon, Jozef Bajus, Ani Hoover, Billy Huggins, Bonnie Morrisey, Mizin Shin, Kate Stapleton-Parzych, Peter Sowiski, and Janna Willoughby-Lohr.
