SORRY! THIS WORKSHOP IS FULL! In conjunction with her current exhibition at WNYBAC, entitled Birds I've Been, Maude White is partnering with WNYBAC to offer a free workshop introducing participants to the paper cutting style and delicate technique used in her work. Maude will lead participants through examples of her various projects using cut paper and will explain all the steps that go into her process. Each participant will create and take home their own papercut piece of art! Participants aren't required to bring any materials. Maude White is a papercutting artist living in Buffalo, NY. Her exhibition, Birds I’ve Been, is a series of cut paper art that examines both women and birds; as observers witnessing the intimacy and action of others, and as participants experiencing and processing events. White loves the great strength, yet delicacy of paper.  She considers herself a craftsperson with a deep respect for the paper she transforms. This workshop is free, but pre-registration is required.
