Relief Printing with the Etching Press Mondays, October 29 & November 5 | 6-9pm
This demonstration primarily shows a relief printing technique. Participants will first learn how to transfer the image onto the linoleum blocks with acetone.
Following this, participants will learn how to carve linoleum blocks, set up registration for a two-layer print, and print the blocks on an etching press.
Participants of all levels of experience are invited to join this workshop. No experience needed. Ages 16+
Some helpful tips: - Each participant can print an edition of prints of their own hand-carved design. It is helpful to bring an approx.  6" x 8" sketch/design to the first class, or have an idea of what you'd like to create. - Finished pieces will be two-layers/two-colors and each student will create an edition of approximately 5-8 prints. - Questions?
