Printing Wonderland An Inky Tea Party! Thursday, September 6th | 6-9pm
Join us for tea and cookies! Oh, and screen printing, too! Learn a stencil technique to turn your simple illustrations into prints. We'll spend the class creating stencils for our screens and collaboratively print whimsical posters centered around the theme of 'Alice in Wonderland.' Participants will learn about screen printing inks, supplies, and the process. Beginners and non-beginners welcome! This workshop is sure to be loads of fun! Based in California, we're super excited to welcome artist Harumo Sato back to host this pop-up workshop! Check out her work here. Things to think about when creating your stencil*: - simple images work best (see b&w photos below!) - the white part on example images is the part you cut out. The black part that you don’t cut out is to block a screen mesh so that the ink cannot come through. The white part will be a solid color once you print it. - don’t cut out the background! *We ask that participants come with a rough sketch or idea for the character(s)/design(s) you want to create!   Cost: $55 / $50 Members and Students with valid ID (includes $5 materials fee) (+ $2.50 Service Fee) BECOME A MEMBER
