screenScreen Print Basics Wednesdays, March 13 & 20 | 6pm-9pm
In this workshop students will learn about the basics of screen printing to create a one-layer print of their own design. We will learn how to create suitable designs, prepare screens, and set up print jobs (materials, ink, etc). Final printed pieces range from posters, cards and other paper goods to hand-printed t-shirts, tote bags and tea towels. For all skill levels, Ages 16+ Build your skills and take our Advanced Screen Print class  
Some helpful tips:

This workshop is structured into two evening classes: In the first class we go through the screenprint process step-by step from screen-prep to final printed image using our test screens. Participants are then tasked with bringing a suitable image/idea the following class, where we'll work together to get the image print-ready, set up our print jobs and print each unique design! - Participants can expect to screen print about 10 pieces (posters, shirts, etc) -T-shirts, tote bags and other fabric products must be provided by the participant. All other materials, including paper to print on, are provided.  - Prints will be one-layer, which typically means one color, but a split fountain or rainbow roll (incorporating more colors at once) can also be done! - Questions?
