Ludlow Typecasting Workshop Date/Time: Saturday, February 21st / 12-3pm Instructor: Richard Kegler The Ludlow is a machine that casts single lines of lead type for letterpress printing or foil stamping. Like the Monotype and Linotype machines, these are becoming scarce but are still in high demand for book artists and fine printers. This workshop will take students through hand setting a line of text and with the Ludlow injecting molten type metal into a usable printing slug. Each student will get to take home the text they set and cast.
