Open Studio

The Western New York Book Arts Center’s printing equipment is available for use by the public during Open Studio. Open Studio is normally hosted twice a month on Saturday, from 12-6pm. Please check the workshop calendar for upcoming Open Studio dates!

Guest printers, whether they are members, interns, or volunteers must be in compliance with certain guidelines:  Guest printers must be a WNYBAC member (in good standing) and must have completed a series of related workshops at WNYBAC or have demonstrated proficiency with all necessary equipment. Level of proficiency is determined by WNYBAC staff. Guest printers may typeset, prepare paper, and execute make-ready tasks on other days with the permission of WNYBAC staff, but printing will only be done during Open Studio.

Open Studio participants may bring one additional person to assist. Other time may be scheduled on an as-needed basis, at the discretion of WNYBAC staff. Guest printers will not be left unattended in the studio and cannot remain after hours without a WNYBAC staff member present.
